Diabetes type 2 is the most common form of diabetes. It usually affects people from middle age and above.

Food that contains High glycemic index (GI) is also dangerous to your health.

There are some types of food that are always safe to eat in the condition of diabetes type 2.

Olive oil, avocado, flax seeds and fish oil are foods with healthy fat acids. You can eat all types of fruits and vegetables and freshly squeezed juices not commercial ones because they have a lot of sugar in it.

From meat you can consume turkey, chicken and fish. Cheese, eggs and beans are also good for your health. Avoid low fat milk. Drink just regular milk and yoghurt. Don’t eat fried food and processed meat.
In the markets there are a lot of sweets made for diabetics. You can satisfy your cravings for something sweet also by making some deserts at home.

You should replace white sugar with something very tasty like banana topped with dark chocolate. Or just take a spoon of almond butter; or cheese with nuts is also satisfying.

Alcohol can contain a lot of sugar and carbohydrates and is packed with calories especially mixed alcohol drinks like cocktails, tonics and fizzy drinks.
You should completely stop using fizzy drinks and about other, try to take just clear alcohol drinks with dinner and in small amount.

Diabetes is very serious disorder it can even kill you. So if you want to avoid it or control it just follow these food suggestions. Always buy fresh products or frozen but never in a tin. Eat oats every morning combined with food high in lean proteins.

You should drink a lot of water through the day, about 1 liter for every 20 kg of weight. Forget about junk food and drink a lot of herbal tea.
